Yeah. Real ID you cannot apply. However, if you go to Dmv and just say: I would like to apply for AB60 driver license...nobody will ask any questions. You don't need to say you're under adjustment. If you say you're waiting your GC or EAD they won't accept your application. After you get your document back to Dmv and ask for replacement... That's all. I did it without any problems.

AB60 is only for who doesn't have proof of residency. And you have. You can go ahead and apply for Real ID. However, your DL will come with the same expiration date of your EAD. (not sure if the law change about)

yes the ead expire date = DL. my suggestion wait until green card to apply to real ID. save money
