How to Change my Status from LPR to US citizen on USCIS
Hello Guys, I have applied for my Husband’s visa I 130 for almost 4 years now, my case was approved 5 months back but haven’t got to the NVC. I had to do a I 184 petition and I haven’t heard anything from them either.
So I became a US citizen today and how should I update my status from LPR to US citizen? Will it get automatically updated or should I do something about it??

Yes, you have to upgrade. You can call them and, tell them you want to upgrade your category. They will send you an email asking for your US naturalization certificate to upload to your USCIS account under evidence.

You can send a letter explaining the need to upgrade along with a copy of the naturalization certificate but you will need to know which uscis office has your case. you can ask emma for a representative and they can probably answer that for you.

uscis give me a estimate decision the time come they tell me Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You do not need to take any action at this time. 😫
