go with that card to the social security office to get your ss card

I went to Social security office to get my card they told me if I don’t receive it this week to make an appointment to come in and do another one. because if they fill my application I may end up with two SSN which is not going to be good.

work permit and social supposed to come together, wait for a couple days you will receive it

@Kingsley B , did you check the box that asks if you want your details sent to social security administration while you are filing out the form for work authorization? if you didn’t check that box. they won’t mail you social security card. you will have to take your work authorization card to social security office to apply for social security number.

if you applied for a ss when filing, you will receive it. if not , you have to go to the social security administration to apply for one.

@ You are right. @Kingsley B If you selected the option to have SSA issue a you a SSN in your form I-485, wait for it. Your SSN card should arrive after a few weeks or so.

we got the social like a week after the EAD came in

@Lilian A Hi, I stopped in there today. She was able to look me up and I was told that one is being processed for me and I should have it soon. I hope 🤞 you get yours in the mail soon. 🙏💕

@Sureberry R @Fazzy Oh @youngmaster daniel @🌴island bwoy 🥥🍹 Hi, my lawyer did all the paperwork so I am not sure what was checked. I stopped in at the social security office and I was told that one is being produced for me and I should have it soon. The lady working there was able to look me up.

@Kingsley B yes that’s what I was told too so I don’t know when it will be but I’m waiting. I pray we get the rest of our approvals too.

@Kingsley B , did you ever get your social in the mail? I went back last week and they told me that I don’t have any number to reapply even though I did earlier during my application and I reapplied there. But they told me to wait 4 weeks to receive my social security in the mail. This is really frustrating. in case you haven’t gotten yours, please go back to social security office and reapply

@Lilian A Hi, I am sorry. I am not getting notifications anymore so I am going back to posts to read them. I have not received anything yet. I am not sure what to think 🤔. I know that you can get a job with the EAD and I think they can pay you with adding you in a category. I read about this but now I cannot find it. I hope you get it soon. I will let you know when I get mine. I am trying to stay off the app and focus on other things so I have not been using it much. I find I am less stressed now.

@Kingsley B ,you just have to go back to social security office and apply. The first time I went,they told me to come back after a certain time if I didn’t receive it& that’s what I did and they had to do the application for me there but said I will receive my card in 4 weeks. I am not checking the apps anymore like before because it stresses me out. I have tried some places and they told me to come back when I have the socials. I Guess I have to keep waiting.

I think we all go through a process of hope, frustration, anger, sadness, and then more hope. This process is hard on us and our families. I hope you are doing well overall…🙏😊

@Kingsley B yes I am doing great thank you & you? it is really frustrating honestly. A friend put in her paper work in July and already has her green card in hand. I have decided to remain calm in the midst of the stress and take a break to focus on my son and family
