Social security after green card
Hello everyone good night.
my question to you. after getting a green card. does your ssn comes automatically in the mail or do i need to go and apply for one?

no too sure , uscis they tight relationships with SSN that automatically issue ssn card once approved but not sure if that start yet, just apply at you local office and see

If you've selected option on your EAD form to automatically receive SSN, it'll automatically be issued. Else, you'll have to explicitly request from SSA

you should call your local SSN office and make sure they have your application. if not you have to go there and apply for it. I am guessing you did not receive your EAD, no EAD no automatic SSN
