Should I file N-400 now or wait until after I move?

Hey everyone, I’m eligible to file my N-400 in about a week, but I’m also planning to move out of my current state soon. I’m honestly so ready to be done with this process, but I’m not sure what’s the smarter move: should I go ahead and file now before I move then update my address(AR 11), or wait until I settle in my new state (which would mean waiting another 3 months before I’m eligible again)? I feel like I’m in limbo and would really appreciate any advice or experiences from anyone who’s been in a similar situation. Thanks in advance! #n400 #citizenship #uscis #naturalization

I was in same situation in May 2025. I didn’t want to wait after moving. so I filed my N400 in my old apartment and moved a 2 days later. good thing is you can get all notifications in your online account. and there is also address forwarding. after a month I moved, I filled the change of address form online. now I have completed my interview and awaiting oath ceremony. So yes I am glad I did when I did.

thanks for your response. i also decided to file now rather than wait any longer. ive been waiting for my date for God knows when. whenever i move ill just update my AR11. congratulations 🎉🥳🍾
