@kai naz Because of new categories they permitted such as United for Ukraine, Afghanistan, All CBP one people who were granted parole. So yeah, it's insanely long wait time and it's only valid for 1 year!!!

@Alex B i applied my i-485 with Medical report. but unfortunately usics return my medical report. i applied my i-485 at june 26 finger print were taken at june 29. how long its Goanna take bro? i see most of the time YOUR prediction was Quite accurate.

@kai naz yes you can. make sure destination country accepts it because many don't. Also if you have criminal convictions or immigration violations it's better to wait for green card. Never travel directly to you home county and try use your own passport as a last resort.

@kai naz I decided to apply advance parole instead of refugee travel document. My lawyer told me its risky to travel with refugee travel doc because uscis may assume that I am abondened my permament residency.

@sun shine You can write them and politely ask if decision was made since it's over 1 year.

@Ali hamza .You can , but make sure : 1. you are not going to home country.. 2. country where you going accepts RTD and no visa required. ( in case your passport expired ). 3. in a very rare occasions, renewing your home passport by going to your consulate maybe grounds of revoking your green card and asylum.

@ Alex B your information is very productive and your information on I 485 on March filers was spot on since i was on the March filers and got my GC. I have a question I got my green card from asylum. I have a valid passport from my country and I wanted to travel third country NOT my home country. I applied I 131 with my 485 but I 131 got denied. SO my question since I have a valid passport and GC I can travel to third country right and I DO NOT NEED RTD since it is used when your PP gets expired right and you are out of status?

@don don By the book, asylees supposed to travel only with RTD as USCIS considers using your own passport as a disqualifing from asylum matter. in reality many people using passports and it does not cause any issues as long as you you are not traveling to home. Since you have a GC you can travel with your own passport. If they question you why you didn't use RTD just tell them you don't have 18 months to wait for it.

right depending some countries cancel your pp right after you file asylum and also if your pp is expired or cancelled than only you need RTD.

@Joseph Marc Good afternoon, they were consistent with approvals untill dec23. Afterwards it is hit or miss,. Considering current approval speed I forecast your case being completed between August 24 - Jan 25.

hello Alex . please I need your advice about traveling . I just received my GREEN Card a month ago ( asylum based ) category AS6 . I want to travel to Europe ( not in my home country) . can I use my home country passport? I have asked so many people including lawyers and a person who works for DHS and 6 out of 7 people have told me that I can use it just ( don’t go in your home country). i need your opinion please.
