Service Center Confusion
I applied I-130 through lawyer for my wife who is abroad. It been 2 months since i applied and the receipt number start with IOE. We have received case recieved letter but on mine the service center is Vermont Service Center and my lawyer letter has Potomac Service Center. When I called the uscis customer service, they said it should be at potomac because receipt number starts with IOE but it has Vermont Service Center. I called 3 times and they all were confused.
I dont know which processing time should look at. It is confusing.

IOE just means that you applied online

on my receipt paper it said Texas but it was in California. text Emma and ask for “agent” it will connect you to a live agent (Much faster) when you ask for an agent it will say for what press “case status” and it will ask for your receipt number send it then it will ask you what’s the question say case location then it will connect you to a live agent once contacted the agent will ask you questions before answering your question.

I will use use both center to check the process time. it doesn't hurt after all.🙂

that’s why you should message them every once a month to see if the location is the same or they sent it to another service center

during the week when USCIS is open on the USCIS website search Emma and there will be a link that says ASK EMMA text agent and it should take you to a live chat they will ask security questions name birthday address ect then they will ask you what’s your question you can ask them what service center is my case located at and they will tell you were your case is located

@sonia actually I'm eagerly waiting for my i-130 approval. My pd was january 8th 2021 and my notice date was February 9th 2021 and case reviewing since February 11th 2021. My service center is nebraska which is mentioned on the notice letter. I heard that nebraska center working on March 14th 2021 cases. But my case is still reviewing that's why I'm much stressful

@sonia my husband send outside normal processing request but after few minutes they said that you are not eligible for this. Can you please tell me whats that mean and what should we do now?

it means that you can’t request an outside of normal processing time which most likely means that it’s not outside normal processing time

They can send your case to any service center they want to send to. The main reason will be work load. it happened to me.
