After meeting 4 lawyers , I still decided to apply the I290B by myself , so blessed after 20 days only , yesterday my I290B both cases -approved and closed. Then an hour later I130 case approved. Today , Saturday 1:30 pm my I485 also got approved . really like a dream , after almost 4 years waiting . When I submiiited it , together with expedite letter and evidence . Also sent copies to Congressman for help . only 3 weeks I got my approval and Green card should be soon in the way . so don’t give up , whatever u facing now .

what was the reason for denial?

1. The decree I submitted USCIS consider it was just an English translation only. - but it is original English court paper from Hong Kong - then I got the APOSTILE to certify this is a true copy for I290B . 2. they claimed us left USA without advance Parole - not true - I had it when out and re-enter , parole chop in my passport - when applied the I290B , on top I got the email confirmation from CBP LOS angles airport . 3. my expedite with help of Congressman

All lawyers told me to re-submit. but I really don’t hv that time to wait another 2-3 years . and I think now they denied me with 2 reasons which I could easily prove , why not try I290B re-open first . I think this is more fair and reasonable to my case and situation . I feel so bad that all lawyers just kept frightening me ICE will come get me , and the rejection is due to my nationality . also said they need to refill whole case for me in a much stronger approach - showing that I am not just meet the minimum standard be a Us Citizen . But the more they said , I feel so wrong . in opposite , one low cost on line lawyer and Deepseek which they would not get further business from me , strongly suggest me NOT to , just fight directly to that 2 denial reason with my strong evidence on hand , don’t diverse it and weaken that with extra Bonafide evidence or other unrelated ref , as they never suspect this part at all ( but all paid lawyers asking me must do it ) . I write all these in here , because I know many of us are here long waiting or being rejected . so scared , so confused and so lost . I post my cases and what I walked through is want to telling you must importantly stay clam , trust yourself , need to understand no one care and understand our case more than ourselves . such as the 2 important documents , I was the one to search and dig out by myself . All lawyers I paid totally over 1000 usd , and spent so many hours at their office , not even one mentioned or suggested me any solution , except telling me the price for refile. And telling me my case was so dangerous and not easy to fix .

I really wish all of us could finally get through all this darkness . My case took 3years 9 months to get the approval . Just I 131 took 2 years 8 months too .

congrats. your testimony fills me with hope. my case, haven't been touched since Feb 2024 for Biometrics. It just showed as reopened in 11/15. Im anxiously waiting for good news soon. 🙏

oh my god congratulations. my wife and I are praying we get a response soon for our case. it’s been 50 days for us and we are going crazy waiting for our I-290B to reopen

@jay b , Did u expedite your case with solid reason? Did u get help with yr Congressman ? They could not able to force the USCIS give us an approval , but at least they are like a light in the total darkness , showing the Officer to take out our file within the millions pending ones . Again they will only help cases exceeding normal listed waiting time, when I reached them the very first time, my cases were pending already over 2 years 8 months ( not even received the i131 ) . I wrote all these long Messages, purpose just one - I want u guys no giving up , do the best you could and live your normal life, be positive and don’t let all these painful waiting effect yr normal life and mental health . I believe my case waited for more than 3 YEARS 9 MONTHS long would be a good sample and big comfort to who still waiting , or get denied very recently .

Few more thing- 1. Always Denial or Approval the status did not change for days, but you may get the notice in your online account first . So check both status and documents area ! ( Like my case I130 , Approval Notice was already shown 2 days ago , but the status is still “ Case is still processing by USCIS “. after 48 hours . 2. Saturday and weekend , you may still able to get notification too . like my approval on I485 which was on Saturday. 3. My TIMELINE for I290B , - 23 Oct sent (By UPS overnight) - 24 Oct delivered to USCIS -28 Oct they charged my credit card . -30 oct receipt issued -14 NOV - I290B got approved and case closed - same time -both cases from Denied/ closed to “ Case is still under processing by USCIS” - - Next hour I130 - Approval notice was issued ( status still no updated ) - next day Nov 15 , I485 got approved too ! I still cannot believe finally my turn … after all these challenge ..

My i485 was denied because the arrest report was not send ,talk to couple of lawyers and they recommended reapply, I sent the i290b with the arrest report and a certified affidavit because the arrest report cannot be certified by the police department and now just waiting on the decision hope this don't take to long, tired of waiting..
