My lawyer asked me to send mine and my derivative's RFE (medical) on my own (at separate times) and it was fine. Just make sure to add a copy of the RFE letter (at the top) they sent you along with the documents you are sending them. You can still check with your lawyer once if they respond to your email.

@Tee Jay RFEs for me and my dependent came at different times. So, I sent them separately. If you have both, may be you can send them in a single packet with different envelopes (definitely bigger envelope that the doctor gave you. Make sure not to open that one.)
