they did an status update for me and i got an reply in a week from the uscis. still waiting on any progress

@m June 2022 did senator give you an update via mail or they called you?

I had waited more than 11 months, so I contacted two senators in my state. Both of them contacted a Field Office, and I case was approved around two weeks later. My lawyer was skeptical about it, but I'm quite sure it helped because my case was in limbo, and it was not even being reviewed at all when I made a service request. So I would recommend contacting them with well written letter including appealing stories.

@Anna Miller I waited around two weeks, but I think lots of factors might affect that. It was during the 4th of July ong weekend.

@Anna Miller I wanted to add. contacting and communication with the senator was super smooth. and it took my only 24hours to get the request out to the uscis

@Anna Miller Of course! You can probably find the immigration category from your local senator's website, and make a request through it. Then they may contact you and ask your signature for a privacy form. They will submit a request after that. I waited more than a week if they heard anything from the office, and someone in the office answered that they submitted it, but haven't heard any news. A week later my case was approved
