Hello all! I have an approved I-130 in 2023 but I am currently out of the US, now I want to file for VAWA since my husband won't pursue the application anymore. Does anyone here in the same situation as mine? how did you go through it?

I left the US before the I-130 approval came out. I was not able to go back to the US for medical reason.

You can still apply for VAWA even when you are out of the US. I am in the similar situation. My abuser and I were married in the US and we moved out of the US. After spending around more than 4 years, I talked to my lawyer and we applied for VAWA. One thing is that I applied for only I-360 because I am out of the US, I cannot apply for EAD and AP

@VAWA New Filer sorry for the late reply. I applied through a law firm. I submitted a package of a petition, I-360 form, summary of what had happened during marriage, evidence of abuse, evidence of good will marriage, two passport pictures. The law firm sent it to the Tempe lockbox. I tried to do it myself then out of concern for making mistakes, I chose to hire a lawyer.
