Filed on January 25th, 2021 marriage based to USC. Received a courtesy i693 deficiency letter, but no biometrics...

I hope USCIS will process faster soon. i think they extended the opening hours in Seattle from 6am to 6pm so they have more time to reduce their backlog.

i filed marriage based AOS , Seattle field office , Sep 2020 and still waiting for bio .... can other ppl share their timeline for Seattle field office ?? since i am yet to be scheduled for bio , there is no progress for EAD/ AP and scheduling for interview...

Filed on January 27th. Received receipt notices 6 weeks after. Nothing after that.

@ribona when did you give your biometrics last time? did you give them at the uscis office?

here in the US or in an embassy? does anyone know if they are also reusing biometrics that were taken when visa was approved back in embassy?

quick question did anyone tried to call uscis and ask them to get a biometrics appointment and offered to even drive to ASC center in Yakima?

Contact your congressmen, they helped schedule my bio. PD 11/2020 I had my bio 3 weeks ago- Seattle field office.

@ser Kan I wrote to the congressman and asked if he can help schedule my biometrics a week later the representative contacted me with a biometrics appointment. After biometrics were taken I expedited my ead which was approved on Tuesday this week. The reason I gave was that I needed an ead so I can help support my family but I can't get one until I had my biometrics done.

So you didn’t give a reason then just asked them if they can help you to get a biometrics appointment?

Yes I wrote to the congressman. The reason I gave is in the above comment I just edited it. Just mention something about wanting to contribute to your household and help lighten the load off your spouse(if marriage based) and tell them you understand there is a backlog but all you need is a bio appointment.

The first one? was late November, I got the deficiency notice sometime in March, bio appointment letter in May and ead approval notice on Tuesday.

@nammie I wrote the Congresswoman today. hopefully it works out for me as well.

my Seattle bio happened in June 2021. with a receipt date on oct 2020, approved (EAD) in July 2021

I reached out to the congresswoman two weeks ago and did not receive any feedback. I checkedin with the office yesterday and was told that they are working on it and that they are swamped with requests for USCIS.

I am really not optimistic anymore and don’t think they will be able to get rid of the biometric appointments. I just don’t understand why they are not offering ppl to do the biometrics or n other jurisdiction e.g. we can route you to Oregon, Boise or Yakima if you are willing to travel

Was anyone lucky to get a biometrics appointment?

did my biometrics on July 19, EAD still has not arrived yet, PD 28 September 2020, Status on I 485 updated to "Interview ready to be scheduled". Also put in my second expedite request for EAD and also a outside of normal processing request for EAD/AP.

when exactly did you file your applications?

@jay Singh , after wating for over 11 months and making numerous enquiries/ service request i have been scheduled for bio for mid of AUg. MY EAD/AP is outside processing times, my PD is SEP 2020 as well. What do you suggest after getting the bio? shall i keep raising service request ? marriage based AOS.

@sam pan, I would suggest to keep raising service requests/Expedite requests after Bio since already outside of processing times. I also enlisted local congressman's help on this, my Bio got scheduled only after my last expedite request was denied. so I would highly recommend it, it seems squeaky wheel gets the grease.

quick Update: my first request was not processed by congresswomens office because they had a lot of cases. last week they reached out to me and said they can help me now. 5 days later I received a letter from UsCIs with BM appointment

@ Jay Singh , a quick update , i got my EAD/AP in Sep end and now i485 status says, Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. looks like scheduling the interview might take months now. how about you ??
