Scared to use 131
Hi 👋 I had my travel document approved last week and I am very happy but I am also very scared to use it. I am scared that I will get issued a NOID while out of the country. I have so much fear that they will try to say that I misrepresented myself when coming into the country as I got married a few days after crossing on a B2 from Canada (we don’t need visas that we apply for, we just tell the border guard). I realize this may seem like an irrational fear but it is still my fear. Not sure why I am posting this…? Maybe 🤔 the people on this app are the only ones I can actually share my fears with. My mum is sick and I don’t want to be selfish and be fearful but she also tells me to not risk things. My aunt is with her for another month and then I will likely go. My file is still at NBC no field office yet. Wishing everyone the best.

@tanisha Salazar I went home for my dad in June and I was fine. I think now I am closer to my application actually being looked at so I am scared.

@umair javed Hi, I know I can travel it is my fear that I will get a denial when out of the country or an intent to deny. I am happy you were able to use yours.

i think travelling can be risky and it's better not to (even with 131) unless it's an emergency

Honestly, it’s a fear of mine as well. I would be devastated if I get a denial while I’m out of the country. You won’t be allowed to enter. Would have to start all over and do consular processing from your home home country and that’s loooooong wait! You’re almost at the finish line. Hold on!

I will advice any travel u want to do u better do it now before Trump inauguration, u won’t be given a NOID stay positive. A NOID is not a denial, they will still give u 30days to respond, even if u are issued one it won’t affect ur coming back into the country.

@segz star Thank you 🙏 for your advise. I know they likely wont issue me one but it is still in my fears.

@Kay J I do hope that I am close. Being denied and starting over would be so horrible. My mother has hold me to just wait until I get my green card. I will take it day by day. Thank you for comment 🙏

@Alice <3 Yes I agree with you. My mother does not want me to come back unless she suddenly gets worse. Day by day. Thank you 😊
