San Francisco Field Office N-400 and Certificate of Naturalization Timeline
Hello, this is my San Francisco Field Office experience. 5 year rule TIMELINE: 1/27/23 - N-400 application was received. 2/4/23 - Biometrics appointment was scheduled. 2/21/23 - Biometrics appointment date and case was being actively reviewed. 5/16/23 - Interview letter was sent online under the documents tab. Interview is scheduled Tuesday 6/20. 6/20/23 - Interview date, passed US Civics and History test, “Decision cannot be made.” Officer said copies of the documents are good enough, will need to run it with a supervisor and she is recommending it for approval. 6/21/23 - RFE for original court seal disposition (dismissed misdemeanor from 2008) 6/30/23 - uploaded RFE Week of 8/1/23 - Wrote an inquiry to Senator Alex Padilla’s office to expedite my RFE review and oath ceremony to be scheduled. 8/17/23 - Case status updated to “Case Actively Reviewing.”, “Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled.”, “Oath Ceremony Letter was Mailed.” Oath Ceremony is this Wednesday 8/30/23. 🎉 So about 7 months from start to finish. Might have been more quicker if I didn’t get a RFE. Goodluck, all the best! 🍀
