mine submission date is also Aug 9. RFIE was for completed I485 form. sent on Nov 9.

I also waited like this for 12 years. This is my case too. Your vaccination schedule is probably not complete. Wait for a letter to come to your home. In 4-5 days, do it immediately.

One of my friends also received RFE, he said that USCIS wanted his birth certificate with translation.

His birth certificate? it says in the instructions that you don’t have to submit it if you are applying for asylum.

the peoblem is that they send RFE when they are working on your case! and as i understood you don’t have 1 full year…. what docs dis u submit with tour case?

@i l everything, medicals, photos, marriage certificate, court decision, even i-94 old one and the one that says asylum granted, but I don’t remember about birth certificate

@mari mari Not yet, but I did my vaccines, covid, etc. I feel like USCIS officer didn’t want to deny my case as one year presense is in June, so maybe he just requested something random, a new photo or maybe medical got lost as well. who knows

@God Bless America Yes, exactly as it is with you, it was like that, and I received a letter about the vaccine. There was a request for the polio vaccination.

@i l Nothing yet, no mails came in to me or my attorney. Usually it’s faster, but hopefully tomorrow it will arrive. Probably because of inauguration and MLK day taking longer

@sk k @i l Nothing yet—neither to my address nor to my attorney’s office. I requested another copy through the USCIS website. My personal feeling is that the officer didn’t want to deny my case since the one-year presence requirement hasn’t been met yet—it’ll be the first week of June. Maybe they accidentally clicked something. I checked my copy of the medical report, and it shows that my hepatitis vaccine wasn’t marked as ‘complete’ since I’ve only received one dose instead of the required two. Honestly not in the rush I don’t want any denials lol

@God Bless America ok i see…well if you got your 1st shot during medical , I think it should work! i hope that they just want to delay, cause like you said if they will deny now it just sucks…waste of money and time, but if they APPROVE now it’s even worse 😀😀😀so hopefully u got a nice officer!!! but keep us updated!!

@i l I spoke to few attorneys, they said if you get approved earlier, but later during citizenship they will fix it administratively, as it was their failt not mine. Idk

@God Bless America i know the person who got 10 year GC , instead of 2(marriage) and he had to go through loops of fire to fix that because during naturalization they said that he didn’t get the right document

@God Bless America i mean i got RTD expedited in 7 days to see my dad…they messed up my gender, I’ve sent it back it’s been 5 months now to fix the gender…and unfortunately my dad just passed away….so yeah …fixing is harder with USCIS….

Update: • USCIS requesting the medical, and mentioned that they did not receive it even though I sent it. Maybe got lost? xD IDK • They said incomplete 485 form, and requested to submit an updated form. Since it’s 87 days time line for me, when do you guys recommend to send my RFE? My one year presense after granted asylum will be in June 5. How long to they approve green card afrer they receive RFE? @i l @mari mari @H singh @gabriel g

@God Bless America maybe that’s the “nice way” to make your case longer….i would wait longer …usually it takes 3-5 weeks for them to get it an uodate status…so maybe March? end of march?

@i l I decided to send my RFE later March, just 3 weeks before 87 days the deadline. My one year presence will be in the first week of June, and after checking around 50+ approvals here in Lawfully with RFE’s I found out that most cases are approved in 60-70 days after RFE received by USCIS, some cases in 5-6 month and in rare cases 9-12 months.

Just sent my RFE, 2 weeks before deadline. Let’s see when I get approved. My assistant was granted in June last year
