RFE request please read I need help
I did my interview a couple months ago 4 weeks after my baby was born the officer asked me for his birth paper but I didn’t received it as yet he gave me a white paper which stated that my case is being held for review when I got home I received an rfe stating that I should send my child birth paper by April 4 if unavailable I should get a letter from the authorized government agency stating that birth certificate is not available only with the letter can they accept early medical record, religious record,Early school record or Two or more affidavit to replace the birth certificate. so I went to the hospital I got them to write me a letter stating that the birth paper is unavailable, I submitted the letter with my birth record and my child religious record it’s been 60 days I haven’t heard anything just a notification that they received my RFE nothing else is needed but now I’m wondering if I did the right thing if the hospital was where I was suppose to get the letter from since they said they need it from the authorized government agency also I received my child birth paper a few days ago but the address on it is not the address I reside and what USCIS have in their system while filling out the birth form at the hospital I added my residential address what they should have place on the birth paper and I added a mailing address the mailing address is what they have as my residential address so now I am worried I am wondering if the letter I sent with what they requested to replace the birth paper is ok or do I have to send the birth paper and if I do send the birth paper if I will be denied since the addres shown where I live on it is not what USCIS have in their system for my place of residence.

if you have an online account you could upload the birthpaper and a letter explaining why the address is different. just hope you have a good reason why it is. they are more interested in who the father of the baby is though Good luck

you may be able to go to vital records and get a new birth certificate with the correct address… I picked up a birth certificate in 30 minutes for my daughter. not sure about the address change but might be worth a try! you may be ok but the address thing is definitely weird…

@leggo mi while filing out the form at the hospital I added two different adddres mailing and residential they put the mailing address as my residential address on the birth form that’s the only reason and there is no father we are a lesbian couple the office asked if it was my name on the birth paper I told him yes but he said maybe it’s ok but his supervisor might want to see the birth paper when I got home that’s when I got the rfe

I suggest you open an online account and upload the birth certificate. If your status is based on adjustment of status, I recommend adding the father’s name to the certificate, as that’s what they focus on. They want to verify if the child is listed under the father’s name. The last name of the person filing for you should appear on the birth certificate. Additionally, you can update the address on the birth certificate to your new address in your online account.

@Qudus Azeez we are lesbians the last question the officer ask is does the birth certificate has your name on it does it only have mother and no father I said yes he said ok they need to see it I won’t add my spouse because I don’t want them to think I lied it’s only my name that’s on the birth paper the only thing I’m worried about is the address

@clear Meeks I have no idea. I’m no expert on this particular situation. try to have faith that if you have nothing to hide you’ll be approved. I had all sorts of anxiety and it turned out to be all for nothing and I was approved. breathe :)

Simply locate the AR-11 form in your online account and update your address to the new one. I believe your case will be clear once they receive the birth certificate.

@Qudus Azeez I still live at my address it’s just that when filling out the birth form at the hospital I put a mailing address and a residential adresss I know birth paper and ssn goes to the address you place when filling out the birth form and i didn’t want my child ssn to come to my address and they steal his docs because we live in a apartment so I added my address as the residential address and my son grandmother adddress as the mailing adddres because its a house however on the birth certificate they have the mailing address as my residential address so I’m wondering if my case will be denied because on the birth paper their is a different address as my place of residence
