RFE
Hi everyone,
I got my case staus updated yesterday saying USCIS sent me RFE for my pending I-485 . how long it takes to get physical rfe in my mailbox. My priority date is August 2020. What the rfe could be ?I have already prepared my medical package ready just Incase if it is. I would highly appreciate if anyone share their thoughts , information and experiences.

RFEs usually give you 90 days to reply.
most likely you’re mistaking with the date for you to receive RFE letter in the mail.
usuallly 2-3 weeks.

@ JD L never mind I just read it again and I was wrong , it said if I don’t get rfe by that date .., you are correct

it should be for your medical and may be 485j

It must for medicals. Since it seems you didn't submit it along with your i485. It's a good thing you have it ready, so you will respond to the RFE asap

you would never know what’s the RFE till you receive the notice from USCIS. so, just wait for the letter from USCIS. don’t waste money doing stuff cos it might they might ask for anything from birth certificate, spelling errors, typing errors etc 🤷♂️🤷♂️.

@DE DOK I would suggest do the medicals and have them ready, they’re valid for lifetime. Chances are that’s what the RFE will request. if not, you’d still need medicals at some point so 🤷♂️.

@JD L yes the RFE is for medical , I485J and current pay stubs. I have my medical package ready three months ago. hopefully that works
