So we finally got an update, it’s a request for evidence. we will see what it’s for but my question is can anyone give me their experience with how long after you send the RFE you got another update? we have done biometrics already in October.

are you able to see the RFE on your online account on the USCIS website? If so, it should be under documents. we submitted the required documents same week after the notification since I was able to see what the documents they needed. We sent the documents before we received the notice in the mail.

An RFE can add an extra 2 to 6 months or more (given current circumstances of backlog). Let be hopeful of quick turn around. Answer quickly and whatever you do, do not answer after the deadline. Your case will close and you have to restart the entire process.
