I just got this, I did not submit i693 with I485 can this be about that the wording doesn't sound like that? "On December 13, 2021, we sent a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number IOexxxxxxx. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence. If you do not receive your request for evidence by December 28, 2021, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. "

i don’t understand why people don’t submit medical with their initial application. please can somebody explain?
Mohammad arhamDec 13, 2021
Can it be the i693?
Henry HenryDec 13, 2021
@mr kh... that's not for the i693. I got that and its was for my husband's 2020 tax transcript.
Henry HenryDec 13, 2021
I did not sent in my i693 with my I-485 application so they sent me a courtesy notice to bring it with me to the interview.
Mohammad arhamDec 13, 2021
@henry did the courtesy letter have different wording
Henry HenryDec 13, 2021
yes it did.
Yanner VDec 13, 2021
i received the same. It was for the affidavit of support. But you should wait until you receive the actual notice in the mail to see exactly what they want. If you have an online account, you can see the notice there.
stella yDec 13, 2021
or you can call them, ask to speak to tier 2 and ask them what it is

there is no law that states that you must submit the medical with your initial application. from my experience when they write you about medical it's NOT a REF it's more of a courtesy letter...when I submitted my application back in January this year we purposely DID not send the medical...due to the fact that you don't know how long your case will take...USCIS send me my courtesy letter in April 2021 and it did state that i should take my medical to the interview which I did...sometimes they will telll u to send it at x time or bring it to the interview...that is my view maybe somebody else may disagree but that was my experience. I have never received any REF from them
Yanner VDec 13, 2021
Nowadays, the medical is valid for 4 years so I think it's best to send it with initial application.

like i said there is no law that state you must... ref and courtesy letter are not the same
Yanner VDec 13, 2021
I didn't mention that anyone MUST send it in.

I got the same notice a few weeks ago for my son's I 485, they needed a copy of his original & translated birth certificate. just be patient and wait for the letter. everything is very well explained in it. Good luck🤗
