RFE for Affidavit of Support
I have a friend who petitioned for his wife. She went in for her interview today and was told her husband doesn't make enough money to support her and their child. He makes $45k after tax and has no loans, debt or rent. Anyone ever heard anything like this!?

the petitioner can add another sponsor (relative) who could be added to the affidavit of support with a higher income

@W G higher than 45k? the threshold is 25k for a couple and 32k for 3 people. he makes 45k.

@Mike Apologies for the oversight. You’re absolutely right. infact the stated income is for a household size of 5 persons.
