they always mentioned what documents they need, as in my case they only ask me to provide marriage certificate from me and my wife in language of origin and English translation from union council and from national database computerized marriage certificate verified from government and foreign affairs,

we opened a joint account when i got my social but that was 3 weeks ago I didn’t submit joint bank accounts I thought that would look weird

yes open bank account and get insurance policies. Even AD&D insurance is good. Living wills for both. Utility bills, cell phone bills, Authorized users on credit cards, bank account beneficiaries. Any bills/mail that show you lived at same address.

I also included my health insurance. I was under my spouse work insurance. you can also ask people you know (better if they are Americans citizens s) to write a letter saying they know you, and that they have witness the goodfaith of your relationship. I’d also recommend a quick talk with a lawyer. I image they have plenty of experience in cases where there’s little evidence. there’s plenty of 30 mins consultations here that are not very expensive :)
