my case was filed 2020, RFE last year for shared residence, proof of abuse and bona fide marriage. 90 days to respond. responded after 2 months and still waiting. good luck

@I’ll be happy s exactly i mean doesn’t make sense either ask upfront after filling or at least in middle going to be 6 years and asking rfe is another abuse to be honest psychological abuse

They sent me RFE after 4 years of waiting and requested proof of abuse, bonafide marriage, and shared residence. They gave me 87 days to respond. VAWA was approved a month after they received my response. Green Card was approved 5 months after VAWA approval. Wishing you the best. You are almost there. Rooting for you!

@I’m Blessed did you filled anything new on your RFE ? my case was submitted 2019 and they ask for RFE just now almost 7 years after . they ask the same think as yours but I don’t have anything new to ad … did you send the same think as when you applied ?

It depends on what they need. My case was filed a year after yours. Last summer, I received an RFE for proof of a good-faith marriage and proof of abuse. I was given 89 days to respond. I submitted my response two weeks before the deadline and have been waiting since August for a decision.

@tired from waitingg @K- MB After I got the RFE, I read it multiple times- it was over 5 pages. I tried to understand all the issues they raised in the RFE. I wrote new personal statement (declaration) making sure I addressed (line by line) all the issues they USCIS raised - NEVER contradict yourself from the initial declaration you submitted. I did another psychological evaluation, submitted new affidavit, text messages, receipts, etc. I didn’t have many new evidence to submit and I explained why I didn’t have them in my new statement. I made sure my personal statement was strong and addressed the concerns they raised.

@I’ll be happy s getting RFE instead of Nœud is a good sign, and sometimes they issue it to justify the long processing time as per Lawyer Moumita Rahman. Now for the Bonafide use a very detailed personal statement about your entire relationship ; from the beginning until the end. Emphasize on your daily life & routine at home during the marriage.
