RFE & Biometrics
Good morning folks! Yesterday, Aug 17, was officially 15 months since I filed the I-130 to get my Canadian husband to the States. I’ve been reading a lot about RFE, biometrics, and other forms lately and I’m getting worried that we were supposed to send those things along with our application. Is that the case? Or is waiting until they ask for additional information the way to go? I’m just starting to feel a little hopeless with the process right now. Thank you!

they will request an RFE or biometrics. you need to wait for them to ask on those things so you didn’t do anything wrong. if they haven’t asked for anything or approved you, it means they probably haven’t looked at it yet.

@Austin H you don’t do biometrics for I-130 application, just for those filing AOS within the states (I-485) seems like you are doing consular processing since your spouse is in Canada, so just the I-130 for now and then nvc stage later once approved

Thank you both. I just needed a little bit of reassurance this morning!
