Retrogression goes so bad
Anyone knows using AI to predict your Priority date to be current. It’s so ridiculous for an AI to predict my PD September 2021 to be current between 2027-2029 Also, this backlogs are created because USCIS didn’t realize there is a surge in demand and supply. I mean how they cannot predict if it is going to retrogress back to 3 years. First retrogression was in June 2022 with final action date back in April 2019. It makes more sense if 2 years later June 2024 the final action date should be in April 2021, not in November 2020. It is 5 months gap, I think the way they work are just so ridiculous and harmful for the applicants. How can you not realize there are 3 years backlogs soon? They update the final action date each month but they don’t realize that?

it is what it is, plan accordingly

it's hard to accurately predict the Visa bulletin even for the state department because how their system is designed. They may see that they have 1 approved I-140 in their inventory but that one I-140 may request 2 GC it may request 5 GC because it is a spouse and three kids. So because how there system is designed they won't know this until the I-485 is filed what is the actual demand. Then you have the issue with perm Lc that is they may check the inventory today and see X I-140 with Y PD but not knowing that there are several LC with earlier PD at DOL waiting for approval to file their I-140. so again alot of uncertainty of what the actual demand is because of how the government system is designed.

just port find a new employer, you don’t need to work till your i485 is approved.

just so you know, an USCIS employee is not much more different than a DMV employee. If you get it, you get it.

there were huge backlog during Donald Trump presidency. USCIS has been clearing these backlogs between 2016 and 2020. so your way of calculating retrogression is not correct. but hopefully they have cleared all before 2020 and now they will start to give 2021 GC. there are 4735 AOS applications. so the future date will be updated soon

@LEE Xpress 4735 is with or without dependent?

@LEE Xpress you’re right about this
hello markAug 22, 2024
@LEE Xpress @Th Ng again the system isnt structure with much transparency because those AOS numbers don't show the full picture of the backlog because they don't include the NVC number from DOS unfortunately.
LEE XpressAug 22, 2024
@EB3 Other Workers it is with dependent . these are AOS cases. this data is in uscis report but we don’t know nvc case. 80% of the GC would go to AOS but now the number is lower.
