Response to RFE- I am worried
I received an RFE in December 2022, I changed my Attorney immediately and we submitted a response on March 24. It’s over a month and nothing at all. The RFE was for proof of good faith marriage, proof of abuse and proof of cohabitatation. We had initiall submitted substantial evidence to them but they said the written statement wasn’t detailed enough. they also wanted to know why I worked out of state when I lived in another state. I had to dig deep and rewrote the statement. it was traumatic for me though. They said the text messages from my ex only showed her name and that without the number it is difficult to know if it was truly her. I submitted text messages from her showing her number. They also alleged that evidence of money transfer did not show the names of the transferor and transferee. I had to resubmit that. I also submitted, 5 affidavits from family and friends, pictures with descriptions , gift receipt, insurance, joint company ownership, joint bank account, one was closed down after she over drew it. I got the evidence of the overdraft and the new one I opened and managed. tax transcript, employment enrollment showing her as my next of kin, health insurance showing her as a beneficiary and other documents. Drivers license showing joint residence. I am just tired and concerned.

Thats a crazy officer in charge but you be alright for sure you will be approved since you had all that tackled

@Kenny Kenny same thing my lawyer said. The officer went too far. Although the other lawyer left some things out, the officer had no business probing beyond the evidence before her/him. I have paid through my nose on this process. I barely ever slept in December until i prayed and left it all to God.

@Mac Fredrick Yeah that’s why most people don’t know when you submit a case to USCIS pray it doesn’t go through a tough officer who’s got no happy home and seeing one wanna be happy irritated them a lot. but you will be alright cuz guess what? USA has Laws and its above everyone’s feeling. Rule of Law helps a lot if not some would have deny people due to moods and how their day going

@Kenny Kenny correct and that is where my solace lies. I gave them everything. it was like I did it all by myself and only paid lawyers so much for nothing. The lawyers were firm in their response and made it clear to the officer that there was no reason not to approve. I am glad they gave me an RFE though. I am just tired

@Mac Fredrick According to Law they can’t just decline your application without issuing an RFE and that’s what happened which is a reason to have your case approved. You don’t worry it’s just an exercise you go through. Like in my case I was expecting RFE gathering all I can even open my line for the wicked ex wife to text and all, but to my amazement I got a new card is being produced and approval in 21 months so worry not, you will get it

That’s a straight 2 years lose from a. human life!
anyway, did u receive Prima Facia in that period of time?
Frankly speaking you provided way too many proves to them.
My attorney said when someone submit lots & lots of documents USCIS don’t want to look at all of them & send rfe to hold that case a little more, take time & give a decision.
doesn’t make sense to me but that’s what attorney said

@jack Y I receieved 2. the second one came a year after the first expired, just when my EAD renewal was approved. I submitted my renewal application in December of 2021, but they only renewed it 4 days after receiving my RFE response. I gave them all I had. I had to dig deep. this is a life line for me. I am pretty much exhausted and depressed.

@Kings kay please make sure to respond diligently like it is the most important thing to you at this moment. You will surely be approved if you provide all the evidence they need. look through my posts for some ideas.
