Responding to the RFE twice ? Please read the whole discription
I resonded to my RFE on Feb 1, 2021 via online. The same day I also sent the entire - same documents but original certified copies by mail - the mail was delivered to its PO Box yesterday afternoon - 3 days after submitting it online. The online submission is unfortunately blurry - Marriage certificate is not very legable (readable) and it has void watermark over it due to antiscanning policy. I honestly misunderstood because I did not know that the online response will be ‘official’. I also uploaded better copy online yesterday as an unsolicited evidence. My status says RFE response recieved since Feb 1 - online submission. Does anyone of you have experience of responding to the same RFE twice ? what was your result of it?

this is the reason why I always suggest to have an immigration attorney. I don’t see why would someone send RFE responses in two different formats (very unnecessary) and sometimes complicate things. for now I think you don’t have to worry about it, and my guess is that if they are having issues, they will contact you again.

it shouldnt be a problem if you uploaded it online or sent it by mail as long as they receive it and figure out what else they might need later down the line , right now you should be ok

As long as your online update status has acknowledged hat they received your response then there is nothing to worry about. if they need anything else they’ll let you know. main thing is for the status to change to “rfe received”

Hi, I don't know if this can help you. But here there are several people who have sent an RFE and have not yet received an answer on their case. Like you, I sent the response of the RFE that they could, they received it on July 13 and that's what it says when I go to see the status of my case, from that date to the present I don't have a new news. When I have asked a lawyer, he tells me that I should wait for them to respond, as long as the date that is supposed to be the time in which cases are processed in the office where my case is located does not pass. This is very distressing, but it is what it is, all you have to do is be patient and trust that there will be good news soon.

@Julissa, what office are you in and what was your RFE asking for? My question was different, will they even consider the mailed response or will they ignore it and look only online that has a blurry marriage certificate

If all the documents you submitted online from the start, they will most likely take what you submitted online. What you have sent by physical mail, if they accept it or not will depend a lot on the person who is reviewing your case. But I feel that so that you can feel more calm you should call and consult that subject. In my case, they sent me an RFE because they were asking me for the 2020 taxes.

hello, were you able to upload all documents online? I have more than 5 documents (w2 1099 1040 newi864 and so on) which is the max, but I am thinking on combining some of the evidences into a single pdf so I can submit them all. Curious how you did to send everything online
