thanks a lot @ Ak I will file for i131 since it’s free and one can have an emergency like you said. So the other forms is enough for adjustment of status and employment status. We are filing by ourselves. Just wondering if i944 is still needed

I-944 for proof of credit is no longer needed

@Ak Kolio the divorce decree has to be notarized?? I have my husband certified. In the letter for the Inter didn’t say notarized.

wait so how did you get your I-130 approved? didn’t you fill it out with the I-864 to begin with? and Angelli certified by the court sorry

About divorce decree. If the divorce was done in the US . I tot the document it’s already notarized. Not sure.

my lawyer had given me a copy of the transcript- I never realized it wasn’t the original with it being certified - it was an easy fix went downtown and got it certified after all that is where I got my divorce from

Yeap make sure it’s there - mine wasn’t so I was help up by 3 months which was ok- I knew my divorce was completed so I didn’t worry about it-

I’ll have to check, Cus my hubby have a divorce decree three years ago but it’s just the letter with dates and signatures. No seal.

@Ak Kolio, a question related to the interview. It’s says Certified copy of your Marriage Document. It’s the Marriage License??

yes- you need to obtain it from the city where you were married at- everything needs to be original documents at the time of interview- no copies

marriage certificate - not the application you filled out to get married

oh so sorry this is coming late. @Ak kolie I’m the beneficiary. I just told my husband he has to get the divorce decree that’s certified with a seal. He said he’ll go to the court to ask. This is my first marriage.
