request for evidence after green card interview in January
been requested to provide evidence of sworn affidavits and we got married in my country what are sworn affidavits? and also my husband hasn't put my name on his property yet and we have joint savings account and everything is still in my name I haven't changed my last name to my husband name will this be ok? also am not on income tax return I guess we have to do it now before October as they say. anyone experienced this I still haven't changed my name on my ssn and state Id. they asking for phone bills electrical bill etc

contact your lawyer, all these are not big deal. let your lawyer prepare the affidavit and get it signed from by commissioner of oat at court.

me and my husband got married in my country in Africa not USA here and who should the sworn affidavits be? his mom , friend or aunt ?

Anyone that attended your wedding in your country can write an affidavit. it's not complicated, just saying they know about you marriage and they attended your wedding, then mention how they know you and you hubby etc..

@God is able just ask his mom and dad and your friends and family to write a letter make a copy of id and get a notary to sign in my country it’s called JP justice of the peace it’s nothing complicated

alright am involving a lawyer for guidance I don't want to make mistakes because it's going to be a 10 year green card am sure our anversarry is 17 sept marks 2 years in marriage so I have to return the evidence by 26 oct so I will have patience😀
