renewal of work permit
My work permit expires in 2024, how fucking knows when my green card will be approved so I am wondering when I should apply for my work permit renewal?? anyone renewed their work permit?? how long should I wait to before I send the form in and do I need to pay for a renewal of I filed concurrently ?

It depends on when it expires in 2024. You are advised to apply from 180 days to the expiration date on your EAD card .
My work permit is expiring in feb 2024. I applied to renew last month and it took 3 days to get it approved . I received 5yrs EAD starting from Feb 2024 - Feb 2029.
I did not have to pay anything since I have a pending 485 since Oct 2021 ! The wait for green card is frustrating but it’s feels a little better knowing I can continue working while waiting . I filled out the form and mailed myself. I hope this info was helpful ! Good luck

@Muna Chim thank you, my work permit will expire in June 2024, should I wait until January 2024 to renew it? I am also waiting since October 2021

@Jet blue. Yes . wait till January and count 180 days to the date it expires in June . I pray you get your GC before then . I’m praying for myself too🙏🏽.
