court date for what? get a lawyer with you because you can’t trust anyone these days

relate to my marriage process I cancel in 2022 and the case was closed ! for some reason I don’t know because I didn’t get the notice! I just check and the judge order a removal! I have a lawyer but she didn’t even know I was in removal I found out about it and sent it to her so I’m scare 🤦‍♂️

no! I have problems with my ex-wife before we have the interview. she sent a withdrawal letter to uscis to cancel the application for our process back in 2022 after that I applied for vawa , so my first process over marriage base application was withdrawn and all the applications was showing in the uscis app as case closed since 2023 . but for some reason I do not know yet I got a letter with a court date on October this year and because I don’t went to court date now is showing judge ordered removal ! but my vawa also was applied November 2022 and it’s been pending since there in normal processing time, I have received many pf have my WP till 2028 ! I don’t knows what to expect, lawyer said will appeal about but it should be avoided if the lawyer checked my A number periodically or at least have give me the way to get it done! I just realized it because I saw someone one here in a post talking about a place to go check the information . I went there my self to find out I was in this situation!

@richard 😏 that’s crazy man sorry to hear that. I have vawa pending 58 months kinda similar situation I checked other day my A number thanks god nothing found . Do u have any type of criminal activity? illegall entry ,DUI or anything?

how can you use your A# to check your immigration records?

@richard 😏 If you came in through visa and some how it expired and you still here and the way to change your status has been withdrawn yes the fact you filed it in the first place then withdrawn by petitioner already show them you’re in the country and the next is to put you on removal proceedings that’s normal, but your lawyer can talk to the Government with either your VAWA pending receipt or when you get approved you contact the court where your hearing will be held and let them know you have an application to change status with pending or approved and they can cancel the hearing and open your i485 administratively because right now you can’t apply i485 you can only do through the court to have it approved

@Jah Bless only if you not filled up another 485 within 33 days you will be go removal proceedings. if you fill up another 485 in 33 days time frame of denail notice you will be fine

can I ask a question because I’m kinda in the same position my wife withdrew my i130 petition back in 2023 so what I wanna know if it’s the same A-number used for vawa case because because I never received the confirmation page

@tired from waitingg The ground of which i485 will be filed is withdrawn so if your i130 is withdrawn most people don’t meet the 33 days to leave grace to file another i130 which is a basis for adjustment, and more so i485 filing and denial put you in removal proceedings not i130 stand alone

my vawa was applied back in 2022 with new i485 and I 765 and i131 when my othes married case was still opened. And my vawa is still ongoing normal processing time ! my wp and Parole was approved through vawa back in 2023 . so related to vawa I’m good nothing to worry but . something happened about the marriage that the judge did not see I have another case pending , I was not informed about the court date so that happened! also my new I485 through vawa I did biometric last year and still pending! @Jah Bless ,@tired from waitingg

Bruh non of us here are immigration attorneys neither can we answer this question legittly so the best advice is contact and experience Immigration Attorneys like The Chidolue Law Firm, Law Firm of Moumita Rahman etc. I know these forms are very good with vawa and cases like your and they be winning all the damn time. Remember we ain’t immigration attorneys.

@Leo B I always have lawyer and she is already working on it . just posting those comments because people go through same situation and or can be avoiding those situations by learning with someone else problems, like I found out about it on a post I saw here in this community. so the purpose is more about information and change experience that get help . because I’m already have the lawyer helping me out ! thanks for the lawyer suggestion 🤝

@richard 😏 Having a pending case is not denial. I had an i485 pending when I filed my VAWA myself in February 2021, got approved Dec 2022, then i485 approved August 2023, joined military and I became citizen August 2024, so it actually doesn’t matter, once you get denied of i485 that’s what put you in removal proceedings not i130, so that’s why most Lawyers advise you file i485 separately after i130 or i360 approval, but if you have a legitimate case like I do, I never worried I just filed i360 and a new i485 cost me extra but hey I did and I got it approved. so you’re good

@Leo B They charge people too much for what’s actually needed, if you have a legitimate case and documents all events, you sure can file i360 yourself, it’s your situation not theirs, but it’s sad most lawyers out there make stuff up for people which in end cost longer processing time for those who actually went through stuff

you can file. motion to reopen your case is called A motion to reopen in absentia removal proceedings asks an immigration court to cancel a removal order issued when you missed your hearing

@A S if it wasn’t Chidolue Law Firm, I would have been deported about 3years ago. she changed my situation after my spouse messed me up at two of our USCIS interviews. she worked and stopped USCIS to pause on everything as soon as possible. my spouse and I filed without a lawyer. we did everything without a lawyer and I realized I needed a lawyer right after the interview. A friend introduced her to me right after the interview and she stopped USCIS in holding on with every single decision they about to make…. It’s a long story but will post it on my page one day. @Jah Bless No matter how much they charging from us, so far us you trust the attorney you working with and u knowing she got proves and receipts of works she’s successfully done, then I don’t mind paying for the services. we shouldn’t wait till it’s gone extremely bad before we think of hiring them to help us fix the mess. is no the attorney responsability to be checking our case, they have so many cases. we have to be checking our receipt number, EOIR court with A number. my court case was re open my attorney didn’t know, i finded out because constantly i being on top of my A number case number. when got there attorney told me, is smart of toh being checking your case. lately they do not even send mail letting the attorney know about the case. so please always check your case… EOIR is for court- A number. USCIS for receipt number…

@A S both are extremely good I’ve had families and friend who have used them and I can testify. I won’t advice no one to risk nothing. we ain’t attorneys and immigration stuff ain’t something no one should play with. You can’t jump on YouTube for it to help you file for your immigration stuff. this is something sensitive. Good Luck

@richard 😏 I'm in the same boat as you, I found out I'm in removal proceedings from August. my attorney filed motion to dismiss in the court. but I don't think the will dismiss, we need I 360 approval for dismissing removal proceedings. I travelled out of country and found out I'm in removal proceedings. not sure if I can come back 🥲 now a days lot of people are getting removal proceedings coz of previous i485 denials

@Leo B @A S @richard 😏 @m A please don’t rely on immigration attorneys, better educate yourself, use Ai help what direction you want to go with your immigration case n direct attorney in a way you would be succeeded . these attorneys see you as clients. they don’t care about you. only money nothing else.
