@Ola Ola Same thing I was about to ask and it’s a big crime to even lie or pretend to be one when you’re not.

ola ola - there are some petitioners (like myself) in this community that are able to vote & would LOVE to help in any matter to be heard and make a difference!

This was for the petitioners in this community..Obviously you shouldnt vote unless youre a citizen..Also they are some people who came to America as children and so they dont have the privilege of bringing over their drivers licenses from their countries..Thats why its important theyre able to obtain some form of ID here..Also there is a grace period of 6months where you can use your drivers license from another country in the US..After 6 months youre expected to have plans of getting a US drivers license….you cannot use a license from a different country indefinitely in America..hence this is actually very important to some people who are in this process but have not yet gotten approval or a SSN, but would like to be able to drive around..

I thought of that after I posted. ya, LPRs should be allowed to get a driver's license. is that not the case in MA?

For the record (some may not like this) if you're here illegally, you need to go home and do things like the rest of us do. I haven't lived with my wife in a year and a half. So I have little to no sympathy for anyone trying to cut in line before me.

undocumented immigrants are allowed to drive here in CA, we call it AB 60 license from DMV.

Adam no one is trying to cut line in front of you, campaign is to allow people to drive while at least waiting to be documented. I dont see how that will hurt you. people need to see doctors, visit family and friends.

@Mona. Nobody knows everything, especially me. So teach me. Who is here on a legal status, not on a green card or on a tourist Visa.. I'll probably have sympathy for them.

Adam maybe try having some sympathy..There are a thousands reasons why someone may come to the states..for example a refugee who is escaping war in their country…sometimes it takes more than a year after they have arrived in the states to get their asylum eligibility hearing..should they be stuck at home and not able to drive around because their legal documents are not yet ready..dont be narrow minded..nobody is trying to cut infront of you and nobody is saying we should open the gates for all illegal immigrants to come in..we’re just saying lets make life easier for people who are already here and are on the path to doing the right thing to continue staying here

Layla You didn't answer my question. is there someone that is here legally that cannot get a driver's license. Sympathy is EXACTLY what I have. I have been seperated from my wife for a year and a half (and counting) because I'm doing things the correct way. are you suggesting that I yield my place in line because someone else thinks they are special? No.

Nope I’m not suggesting that..then again you literally have no place in line at the DMV..This is outside of immigration proceedings or USCIS. so this does not affect your place in line in any way whatsoever

I'll type slower this time. why should I support concessions to anyone that illegitimately cut to the front of the line in front of my family? this isn't just a DMV thing.
