Was his divorce in the US? if so he can get a divorce certificate on vitalcheck.com or he can go to the courthouse where he filed the divorce and get one certified copy of the divorce decree. Sometimes those courthouses have web sites where people can order the divorce decree online to be mailed to their address. If his divorce was outside the US he should go to the embassy of the country where the divorce took place and ask for a copy
