Recent update
My wife has been waiting since June 2022. We had our interview June 2023 and since I was LPR case was not approved then due to visa bullentin. In November 2025, got RFE for outdated Medicals. Since then about 7 months no update until today after consultations with our congress man. I saw we have take an action on ur case only to check and its now saying we are still processing your case. Has anyone been in this situation and what can i expect next or do. Thank you

Hey Sway, a lot of people got that same update from USCIS. I got it on May 3rd. Nobody knows for sure what it means, but it could be related to the new enhanced FBI vetting that USCIS rolled out on April 27 — it's affecting a lot of pending cases. There's also a chance it was just a system maintenance refresh, since many people received the same update simultaneously, including some whose cases were already approved. Either way, you're not alone — this seems to have hit a wide range of cases.

If you go to r/USCIS on Reddit, you'll see a lot of people got that same update around the same time.

This can happen even after congressional follow-up or internal movement on a long-pending I-485. Since the medical RFE was already answered and the visa bulletin issue was the prior obstacle, the case could be back in active review. At this point in time, the next step is often either approval or another update/RFE, so movement can follow soon.
