@Quaid Westerlund mine was delivered by FedEx on May 28th and on May 30th I received some texts from USCIS with my receipt number starts by IOE… also my USCIS account was updated. I can see the status of my case. And also the status changed to actively reviewing on May 30th. and they uploaded under document tab the evidence I sent to them. I filed I-485 Permanent residence. Today I received the notice by mail. hopefully this will help you out.

@A Johnson I still have not I called the number last week and the person I talked to said theirs a backlog at the lockbox. I was told to wait 2 more weeks and then call again. Not sure if it’s gonna make a difference though.

@Quaid Westerlund I just called that number and couldn’t get pass the automatic voice message. I’m going to email the lockbox. I’m just worried if they have rejected my application and they are sending it back.

@A Johnson I got pass the voice message by saying service center instead of lockbox. I sent an email last week but still no response. But the email does say have to wait 30 days for a response.

@mariam T @Quaid Westerlund how are y’all staying sane? I’m literally glued to my phone and this app, and I’m losing my sanity! Another day almost passed and still nothing! I have signed up for Informed Delivery. Strangely, there is a package coming address to us from Phoenix but it has been stuck at the post office for several days. I’m just praying so hard that it’s not my application. I need to find a distraction 😩

@A Johnson I’m really not😭 I just had to delete everything for a few days and do a few things to take my mind of it. Hopefully it is not your application but if it is can you let me know. At this point I’m tempted to just resend the whole thing if I don’t get a response soon.

I’m so tempted to just show up at the lockbox (I live 30m from it) and talk to someone! I will keep you posted if I receive any notifications.

@mariam T I’m really not sure. I called my bank yesterday to see if DHS has deposited my cashier checks but they haven’t. I’m not sure if this is for your initial application or something else, but if it is, maybe try to see if they have cashed your checks or used your CC. @Quaid Westerlund

@mariam T I didn’t get a full update, but I sent an inquiry earlier this month. I got an email a few days ago from uscis saying that they got it and they will respond within 10days. Not a full update, but it’s something.

@mariam T @Quaid Westerlund Nooooo! Gosh, this waiting is brutal. I just checked with my bank. My cashiers checks haven’t been deposited. I also called USCIS. The agent said my name is not in the system 😩

@Quaid Westerlund That’s a really tough call. have you checked with your bank? call USCIS again now. They may have your info, you never know.

I checked my bank and nothing had been withdrawn. I’m not in a place to call them so I connected to a live agent now and they said they have no records. They all say the same things, and even after I explained they said wait for a response. Really disappointing and depressing.

@Quaid Westerlund sigh 😩 did they respond to that “10 days” email? They were supposed to get back to you in 10 days.

@A Johnson I was trying to explain that to the agent yesterday. I sent an inquiry on June 4, uscis acknowledged it on June 14 telling me to wait 10 days. But I had sent another email on June 12 which the agent said to wait for a response to that email. I know they probably have a lot of going on, but they are saying one thing but the emails are saying another. Just sick of the bs.

Good grief! What’s going on! Nothing makes sense! 😰I’ve started having anxiety attacks. This is beyond disheartening. Hang in there my friend. 😔

This is really weird! I've been waiting for about six weeks as well. My package was received on May 31st and till now nothing.

@A Johnson I think I might send something to mine. And yeah I called an agent late last week and they said there’s a long backlog and to either wait or refile. My student visa expires this month and was hopping to get the work permit. But look like I’ll be unemployed for a bit 😭🙃

@A Johnson I’m J-1 and I’ve been on the Academic Training for over a year. But it finishes this month so I have to wait for the EAD. 😅

@Quaid Westerlund @Fem S I’ve reached out to my congressman. They responded yesterday. USCIS has my case and I should receive a receipt notice within 15 days. This is a general response, too. However, it seems most people receive their notice after this response. I’ll keep y’all posted but in the meanwhile maybe reach out to your congress person? It will not hurt.
