Receiving the Approval on side!
hi there,
My VAWA journey is over now. Went to the interview today (8/16/2023) at Santa Ana FO, CA. After 15 mins of interviewing, my lawyer and I was asked to wait outside for the officer to do the background check and go through everything. She asked us to fill in the I-864W form while waiting. We filled it in real quick and submitted it for the officer. After the other 45 mins of waiting, she brought us the approval notice.

@pk l nope. Those questions are Yes/no on your i485 form. It depends, we can't tell no interview cause many laws are changed.

@Jay-EM Today the officer only asked name, address and those YES/NO questions about acts of criminal and violation on your i485. As long as your lawyer comes with you, they might ask him to fill in the i-864W form. If it's the easy officer, you probably don't have to.

@Ray 0724 2 years since I applied full package of VAWA and EAD. That EAD lasts for 2 years.
