If you have your Alien Number (sometimes they put this number over the beneficiary’s name). Chat EMMA. They will ask for your A# and share it with them. They will let you know the receipt numbers if your case is accepted.

@P A how do we ask Emma if we don’t have a receipt number yet? I’m not sure what our alien number. All I have is the I-140 approval for now and this is an I-485 AOC I’m waiting for a receipt number on.

@justin W, the Alien Number typically appears on your I-140 approval notice on the right side, on top, above beneficiary info. You can reach them with this number by asking for your receipt numbers. I found mine on the same day that my checks were cashed doing this.

@P A I just double checked my approval notice and it does not have an alien number. The I-797 only has the receipt number for the I-140. This is for an EB1C application. So my only recourse is emailing the lockbox and asking them. Let me know if you think of anything else or I’m missing something. Thanks for your help!

@justin W, mine is EB-1A, so maybe they can insert this info in some approvals. For example, my O-1A approval doesn't show it, but my I-140 has this info. I don't know if it is because I filled out my form while living in the US; they put my Alian. This info will be there when you get your receipts.

@P A I tried to chat with Emma but it never ends up asking for Alien number. It always directs me to the available links at USCIS

@J B When you ask for live agent, they will ask if you have an application with USCIS, [yes], they will ask about your receipt numbers, you can answer no, or whatever, when the live agent starts to talk with you, the first thing that they will ask you is: can I have the receipt numbe or your Alien Number?

unfortunately I don’t have receipt number or alien number so all I can do is email the lockbox. I’ve been waiting 5.5 weeks for the AOS receipt.

@justin W Once you start chatting with live agent. They give you information based on your DOB and physical address. One of my derivatives doesn't had A number either so it worked that way

@J B @P A I’ll try going through a live agent tomorrow and see if it works without an A#. I did check with my bank and USCIS didn’t even cash my check yet which is odd after 5 weeks. So not sure there will be a receipt number yet if they haven’t cashed the check 🤷🏻‍♂️

@J B I called and they confirmed there was no receipt number at this time. Which lockbox did you send it to?

Hello @J B quick question please - did you submit I-765 and I-130 with your AOS package? Or just I-485 - I’m trying to see if maybe just submitting I-485 makes the process faster - congrats on your approval too!

@Sodo 11 I only submitted I765 with 485. it took like a month to get 485 to be approved after 765 approval. I submitted my AOS in mid June and got my GC in mid August
