In new york dmv’s my friend went to dmv forreal id and they said we can’t do the c-09 categories work permit , in their system they don’t have vawa category to accept,,,any suggestions ???

category C-09 is under Adjustment of Status not vawa. Try a different DMV

which dmv? I did mine in Brooklyn and they accepted co9 work authorization

@V A I did in Coney Island dmv they had no problem with approving my real id

I was turned away in queens, had to wait till I had the green card.

I was turned away 3 times until my immigration lawyer emailed the main DMV office in Albany. After my lawyer’s email, the same DMV which turned me away before contacted me by phone, scheduled an appointment and on an appointment day, they were extremely nice and processed everything fast. So C09 EAD holders are eligible for Real ID but a lot of DMV offices’ employees don’t know and turn people away. Good luck to everyone. Hope it helps

what documents did you provide i have a C08. and they asked for documents with proof of bio and application process. and this was done in 2013. case since been sleep any suggestions?
