I have been on the ready for interview status for 16 days now. My attorney said there was still a chance they could approve without actually scheduling an interview, it just means they don't have anything else to ask through RFE.

just got the notification that my interview was scheduled. 19 days after the "ready for interview" notification.

no idea, just got the notification which just mentions the interview was scheduled, but need to wait for the actual mail notice I guess

It was very straightforward. The only employment related questions were "who do you work for, since when, and what's your current job". Then a bunch of questions repeated from the I-485 form (are you a terrorist, do you deal drugs, that sort of things) and also more like identity questions (name, dob, when was first entry in the US, etc). Between me and wife it took barely an hour. And then they said they needed to review the application thoroughly and couldn't give a timeline (my attorney said it should be 30 to 60 days for approval). My status didn't change for now, still says "interview was scheduled".

@Alex R Similar story as me lol . mine was on the 30th . but Status changed to interview was completed . I gave the I-485j at the interview to confirm job still exist because I filed non concurrent . i think we might get an answer this month . Let’s keep each other updated . Good luck to us both !!

I just received a surprise I-485 approval notice in the mail today, but the status online is still stuck at the prior step. I'm assuming I'm good but wondering if you guys have any updates?
