Random Question
can USCIS know if my spouse (we divorced ) is a US citizen without me sending out any updates ? when I submitted the i360 he was a Green Card holder, if now he is a Citizen do USCIS gets an update? thanks in advance.

@qu no ! u need to notify ur lawyer about ur ex citizenship and see if he can added to ur case but remember ur gonna need prove of that!

Just try to get a copy of his citizenship certificate if u can and send it to your lawyer ASAP.

This is based on my understanding, If you're spouse was greencard holder, your vawa will be process normal like all other people , after it get approved since your spouse is not US citizen you will have to wait for your visa to be available before filling for greencard So you can decide to wait without telling USCIS till your vawa is approved then tell them that he/she is us citizen so you dont have to wait for visa bullet while submitting your greencard application second, You can tell them by giving them his/her certificate of naturalization or if you can't have access of it, you can write USCIS a letter with his/her names , DOB or attach ID or SNN they will be able to search and know if he/she is US citizen
