tbh it all depends on the people at the border control. Just last week I've read about 2 Europeans (both waiting for i130 approval) being denied entry to the US, so really there's no rule, I for example was denied entry regardless of having a job and an apartment at home 🤷

I'm from Canada and when I crossed the border I was honest in saying that I wanted to visit my husband (for six months), he asked if I intended on moving to the US and I said yes, he asked if we started our paperwork and I told him we filed the I-130 and I will be doing the process from Canada, and that this was just a visit to lessen our time apart while waiting. I asked him if he wanted to see our I-130 receipt notice and he said no. He had no problem and told me to have a good time. I guess it depends on the mood of the person you deal with. It wouldn't hurt to take a copy of your I-130 receipt notice, a bank statement to show you can financially support your visit, and maybe a few monthly bills or ties back to your home country if they ask more questions.
