I am just sharing my experience: I first did expedite request to USCIS through phone call and did not hear from 3 weeks and then I contacted Congressman to help to expedite the the EAD, and they contacted USCIS. I heard that you do either one but do not do both at the same time. good luck1

last question Ben how long it took your congressman to reach you after you requested?

Once I submitted my request in their website, I did not hear for a week and later I came to know that person responsible to handle the request was on sick leave. After contacting their office after a week, they contacted USCIS within a couple of days. Then, my EAD was approved in 10 days. I guess I was lucky, but their help definitely works in my favor

Heya, the congressman communicates direcly to USCIS through their own channels. I would recomment that you only talk to the congressman during that time to make sure they sent the request. I did that. EAD in hand 10 days after contacting my congresswomen. Make sure you have supporting documents ready and send them to the congressman.

@ Fola: In my case the Congressman has a form to fill up for any help need with a Federal Agency. Please check your congressman's website and see how you can request or contact his/her office.
