Question for Those With Long Distance Spouses
1) How long did it take for you to initially get your i130 Approved?..Trying to find nuggets of encouragement.

It depends on your situation, for an example, Are you a US citizen applying for a spouse or a permanent resident applying..
For US citizen - On average, it should take approximately 14.5 - 16 months give or take but it seems like that number is increasing a bit .
Permanent resident applying takes a lot longer 2-3 years .
We are at day 408 , Texas Service center and still waiting. Hopefully this helps @C. W.

Yes what's in the last comment is true.. It's taking 14 to 16 months. it used to be less but processing times are increasing. Day 426, Texas Service Center and still waiting
