Question About Violence Against Women Act Petition and Derivative Children Approval
If a woman includes her children under the age of 21 in her Violence Against Women Act petition before submitting it, will that affect how long it takes for the case to be approved? Also, if her petition is approved, will her children’s cases be automatically approved as well?

it does not take long when you had any child under 21 and once you vawa is approved you will have to file immediately for your derivative which will also be approved. it simply means they qualify to get their green card.

the waiting time is the same its now 5 years but once approved in your approval notice your children will be included as the beneficiary with their date of births as they filed.then you will file what we call i824 form
