Question about Residency and Visa for University Application
Hey guys, I’m applying to university, and they are asking if I am a resident of Utah. I’m not sure because my visa Vawa is pending. Can I say I have Utah residency? Will that have a negative effect on my visa? do I need to talk about this an attorney? #vawa #vawapening

Resident of Utah means you lived in Utah for more than 6 months during the past few months and you reside in Utah, which qualifies you to file Utah state taxes. It meaning is slightly different for immigration purposes.
immigration purposes would be asking if you are USC, PR etc

if you live in Utah then you are a resident of UT. when it comes to your immigration status they will ask just that ..”your country of citizenship or legal status in the US”

@nkr tt I looked at university’s residency requirements it says you should proof that you’ve lived in the state more than 12 months that’s all they need but I’m still scared
