@k m After USCIS approves your petition, they will transfer your case to the Department of State's National Visa Center (NVC) for pre-processing. The first step in this processing is the creation of your case in our system. Once this is complete, we will send you a Welcome Letter by e-mail or physical mail. With the information in this letter, you can log in to our Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) to check your status, receive messages, and manage your case.

@k m No now you have to wait for your embassy/ consulate to send you an email, that’s says it’s ready. or check everyday at ceac to see your status.

@Fernando brambila ok, then when it’s “ready” I can schedule interview and medical exams or I neee to wait for the email? also is there anything(fees) we gotta pay for the NVC? it’s the k1 visa ( fiancé visa)

@k m mine is k1 visa also, my case shows ready but I’m going to wait to see if I received the email tomorrow. you don’t have to pay any fees to NVC at this point is file DS-160 and when you get the email you get the instructions for paying you visa that is 265 dollars.

@k m my case shows ready as well, in my case I’m going to wait one week to see if I get the email from the embassy for instructions if not I’m going to us.traveldocs to create a profile and make my appointment, every embassy/consulate is different. mine is in Mexico.and no problem we’re in the same progress.
