why can't they just waiver marriage based interviews too , it's so ridiculous with all the evidence you have to send and then still go to an interview.

@Leby E, I’m not familiar too much with this type of visa. I have a friend who wanted to apply for I-485 Family based. A father is a USA citizen, but their relationship was complex. She found that If a child applied for a green card by applying for adjustment of status with USCIS, then the interview may be waived. USCIS often waives interviews for a green card for child applications. If the child is applying for an immigrant visa at a US consulate or embassy, then child will have to attend a visa interview at a US embassy or consulate. To be honest, I didn’t track how often they waived interviews during the covid period for F1 users.
