Quesiton, Help
Hello everyone, I hope someone can help answer my questions:
I am married to a US citizens, I’m a father of 2 US citizens but I am outside of the US. in Mexico.
we’ve submitted the I-130 and it’s been “actively in review” for 282 days. I am aware process times vary but my question is, do we need to submit anything else or should we just wait for now?
Thanks in advance!

you can upload unsolicited evidence for the 130 but the fact that you guys have 2 kids together I think that’s enough.
wishing you good luck. this process ain’t for the weak.

as long as you submitted i-130a and filed I-130 properly, you should just wait and hopefully it'll be approved soon

you can get contact with your consular by email. I have read about that in many people’s stories they did and got a decision a few days later

If it's a consular processing, USCIS takes over 400 days. You are from October and they are approving cases from June right now so you have to wait a few more months

@Green buzz so 2 forms? a “I-130a & I-130”?
Pedro PJul 29, 2024
@sick of process do you have any idea how to get their email or any contact information? I would really appreciate the help
Green buzzJul 29, 2024
yes at @Pedro P two separate forms if your wife is petitioning for you the spouse
Green buzzJul 29, 2024
they can delay it if you don't send in I-130a

@Green buzz I see, 2 more questions, I know it’s a separate form, but is there a payment required for that or do we just fill it out and submit it? and can we fill it out on our own or those or have to be a lawyer or representative?
Green buzzJul 29, 2024
no fee for it, you can fill it out on your own. every form can technically be filled out on your own

I have read about that on reddit, but unfortunately I don’t remember. Would advise to definitely check that website @Pedro P
