Q: Renewing SIJS for deferred action
Hi all, I have a question about renewing SIJS to maintain a deferred action (DA) status and would like some insight from someone that has gone through the process before.
My PD is August 2024, and I received DA for 4 years, which is set to expire in November 2028.
I realize that 2028 seems far away right now, but faced with the prospect of having to wait YEARS before I am able to apply for an EB4 green card, I want to be prepared for the future.
So can SIJS be renewed, and if so, does your DA get extended as well? #EB4 #SIJS #DeferredAction

Yes, as far as i am aware the deferred action can be renewed as much as times as we need until we can apply for our gc

but i’m praying for all of us that we won’t need to renew it and that we can be apply for our gc before that 🤞🤞

same here, but with such slow progress in the VB, it is easy to get discouraged
