My case : 12 days for DHS to agree to close the case. 7 months (nightmare) for the EOIR judge to close the case. (Orlando FL).

my lawyer filed it in September 2021. judge dismissed my case in October.

I filed it at immigration court. Other ways sometimes take time.

I filled mine last week some people says within a month other got it within 6 months my office in chicago, but all the the people I asked their cases was not from chicago

I just filed for termination with ICE opla and I hope and pray it will be dismissed soon.

Ice cream Which stats are you and if I may ask, do you have any underlining criminal records? Am wondering why it took this long to get it terminated.

my lawyer got the FOIA but it has no major impact besides showing you errors you made.

A file, the errors that made the asylum officer send you to immigration judge.

@ice cream Just wondering why it’s necessary or to ask for once file from ICE, is there a use or advantage of asking for it ?

It's good for guidance when filing PD because that's what they rely on when prosecuting you.

@A and others Judge granted asylum application which later was appealed by govt. on credibility base. My attorney filled PD request (via email) to withdrawal of the appeal since case is in Non-priority category. Anybody have any similar experience and how long it takes for ICE to respond

I did the same last month some people got it done within 1 month, other within 6 months depends on the office and the backlog

mine was dismissal of removal with approved I-130 clean background ( non priority case) without hearing date in the immigration court

@sam Bec since you submitted back to USCIS for reopening, what’s been happening? still waiting?

PD request was granted in a month, sent to judge by mail and judge signed it in one week.

mine still on hold my attorney called ICE and they said they don’t focus on non priority cases as mine one of them still waiting

Applied for PD in November 2021. Nonpriority and approved i130. No answer till this day... total silence. opla Office in San Francisco

I fie last year 2021 in July for PD and no answer and the lawyer resubmitted with the new guidance on June 2022 and still no answer in North Carolina any one knows why it’s taking forever

@YearsLongWait Make Hi, did your's get approve now? I also have it at OPLA San Francisco office and been waiting 10 months. Anyone who applied at San Francisco please respond. Why are they taking forever?
