proof of address
Hello,my girlfriend and I have decided to get married, but due to her family situation and my work obligations, we do not live together. She is currently staying at her family home to take care of her mother, who has health issues, while I travel for work and permanently reside in a hotel. However, since I am not far from her family home, she frequently visits me at my hotel. This makes it difficult for us to have the same mailing address. Additionally. Since USCIS takes proof of address very seriously, how should we approach this when filing for marriage-based sponsorship?

from my experience it’s very important for you guys to live together work and her taking care of her mother don’t justify that you guys can’t live together from a uscis standpoint. but you can ask find out from a lawyer but right now with everything that’s going I would advise you to be very careful cos anything right now can cause a denial . god bless wish you guys all this and to her mother

I agree with @god bless no. This is certainly not the time to be having these types of issues. if I were an officer I would grill you on why are you living in a hotel permanently, why can’t you get an apartment, how are you paying for it? I think there’s missing context with this whole situation. between you and her who’s the one seeking legal status?
